My Project
The essential materials and supplies that I am requesting for my students will be put to good use! The array of art supplies (crayons, yarn, paint, construction paper, and glue), will help my budding artists express themselves visually next year by creating works of art. In addition to creating 2 dimensional works of art like posters and paintings, students in my grade 4 class also engage themselves in 3 dimensional STEM builds throughout the year, such as building a model of an ancient Hawaiian system of land division (an ahupua'a), and creating a model of a shield volcano out of papier mache.
Plastic folders, pencils, erasers, dry erase pens, paper clips and pencil sharpeners will allow me to create a writer friendly classroom environment--creating and reusing plastic writing folders for each student keeps them organized and ensures that our student/teacher writing conferences are productively and efficiently run!
