This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
This year, I am teaching English 9, 10, AP Lit, and AP Research. While the budget after covid has drastically changed, I am finding myself in need of more supplies to maintain an effective teaching environment. Any and all donations will be greatly appreciated and will truly make a difference in my students' lives. All supplies will be used for all my wonderful kids.
Here are a few ways your donation could help:
Markers and poster boards will allow more collaborative group work with fun visual presentations away from technological devices. This will enhance their social emotional development and their ability to engage in effective speaking and listening in academic discourse.
Multicolored highlighters and pens will help my students give each other effective feedback in revision workshops. By using color coding tools, students can identify multiple steps of a research process or a persuasive argument and give more meaningful, specific feedback.
Essentials like lysol wipes, kleenex, and bandaids will help me maintain a safe and clean environment.
Play-doh and manipulative toys will help my students with special needs self-regulate and stay focused in class.
My kids will appreciate having a stocked classroom; it will be an indication of an environment that is investing in them and believes in their futures.
