My Students
The nature of my class is invigorating, thought-provoking, and highly rigorous. Students are challenged every day with an in-depth lesson in mathematics. The number one priority of my classroom is to prepare students for what is to come in their future college endeavors.
My students are from three different high schools.
Therefore, they are from three very different demographics. Diversity is definitely a given at our school. Our kids work hard and are committed to their learning. Some students come here to earn an industry-based certification, while others come here to earn college credit. Particularly, my students are here because they want a head start in college.
My Project
In my classroom, the Skytech desktop will have multiple purposes. Currently, my students have a 3D printer in the classroom. The requested computer will be used to run 3D programs such as Blender. My Calculus students will be creating their very own rockets from scratch and using our 3D printer to print it. Additionally, students will use the Skytech desktop to print assignments, web-pages, and other digital resources before, during, and after class.
The Skytech desktop computer will also allow students to experiment with GPU-intensive educational programs such as Kerbal Space Program and CAD programs.
These programs will introduce the wonderful world of engineering and 3D creation software to my many aspiring students.
