Classroom Engagement and Positive Behavior Supports
My students need the ability to print in color with a new color printer and ink Items that need printed include: star charts, organization tools, stories and storyboards behavior charts, choices, engaging assignments, rewards, positive behavior supports, and visual prompts and reminders.
My students are unique in that they are general education students first but are also students with a variety of special needs/disabilities. Every one of my students are different, they each have individual personalities, likes, dislike, and needs. They are a diverse group of students with disabilities ranging from social/emotional/behavior to specific learning disabilities to health impairments, and beyond.
Although my students have a variety of needs, we work hard together to create a classroom community where each individual child feels accepted, safe, and has the ability to learn.
My students get excited to help each other become the best students they can be. My students enjoy bright colorful lessons and assignments that catch their attention and stand out from their other classes.
My students love to learn even when faced with challenges that seem too big! They encourage each other, support each other, and always strive to find common ground to be there for one another! My students are all uniquely individual and accept each other for who they are.
My Project
My project is ordering a color printer and the ink for the students in my classroom to use. My classroom has a diverse population of students that will benefit from the use of the color printer and toner.
The ability to have Positive Behavior Supports are a must in any special needs classroom!
The ability to print in color will allow my students to become more engaged in the classroom. They will be able to print their stories and storyboards, star charts, behavior charts, visual prompts and reminders, engaging assignments, rewards, and interact with technology. My students will thrive with the additional use of color in the classroom.
