This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

In my classroom, I have a classroom economy. Each day, my students clock in and out of class. Some students have applied for special jobs that allow them to earn extra "money", and they can earn classroom badges when they show positive behavior. Giving students responsibility for their actions, teaching them how to budget, and teaching students how to balance a checkbook.

Students are given a chance to "purchase" snack items throughout the year, and then they have a large auction with all of my classes combined, where they can use the "money" they have earned to bid on items.
