My Project
Our 3rd grade classroom will be participating in a classroom economy for the 2023-24 school year. Students will learn money management, about taxes, and how to budget money with this year long activity.
These rewards will be available for them to purchase with classroom money they earn by showing up to school, meeting classroom expectations, and saving their money!
Our class will also learn about taxes, loans, and learn financial literacy in a forgiving environment before they experience the hardships of mismanaging money in the real world. This is a heavily researched method for teaching financial literacy and closely relates to 3rd grade standards they are expected to learn.
