Classroom Economy For The Win!

Help me give my students resources a set of checks, raffle tickets, and a display tv. This will help us kick off a classroom economy next school year!

My Project

As we prepare for the next school year, I am looking to implement a new system to help motivate student learning, manage student behaviors, and instill a sense of financial literacy with my upcoming 6th graders. As a former fourth grade teacher, I had much success with my classroom economy. I feel this would greatly benefit next year's students as well.

Students today need to know, now more than ever, the importance of the dollar and how to invest and save it.

I am hoping to utilize the student checks to teach students the importance of tracking financial transactions and also how to "endorse" a check (with atms and online access to most, this is something most of my students have never heard of). The t.v. display will be used as a document camera screen as I model working with checks and financial registers. The raffle tickets will serve as our classroom currency as we kick off our classroom economy with student jobs at the beginning of next year. Please help support our classroom as we begin our "Classroom Economy for the Win".
