My Project
I am honored to have the opportunity to teach dozens of intelligent, kind and free spirited children everyday that I come to work. My students bring so much joy to myself and each other every single day and they deserve to have a a classroom that feels comfortable, practical and welcoming. We are provided with the bare minimum in terms of classroom seating, decor and materials which makes it very difficult for us to be able to transform the space into one that feels like a home away from home for the next 10 months.
I am requesting additional storage, rugs, flexible seating, lighting and classroom decor in order to be able to create a fun and comfortable classroom that makes students feel excited to come school every morning and allows them to feel welcomed and loved in the space that they are in everyday.
Having a warm and cognitively engaging classroom allows students to feel comfortable enough to be creative, challenge themselves in learning as well find joy in all parts of our school day. With the items I am requesting my students learning will not only flourish but their social emotional wellbeing as well.
