This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My students are in a cohort with various languages and cultures, all eager to learn through hands-on experience. Throughout the 2022-2023 school year, our project-based learning approach will focus on teaching our students about sustainability and composting. The items requested in the project will allow students to experience composting by creating our very own vermicompost in our classroom using the Worm Factory 360 Black US Made Composting System for Recycling Food Waste at Home. Then, we will take the compost and use that soil to plant fruits and vegetables. Students will conduct research, collect data, and present findings in various projects. Thank you for helping to bring compost to my classroom.
