This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Please help me continue to build my classroom as a community. We could greatly benefit from these materials to help make our learning more fun and engaging! The bluetooth mics would be helpful because it's so hard to understand each other when we have masks on. Having multiple mics available would be great to help us listen and understand each other. I also think that it would increase participation. COVID has definitely changed the way our classroom functions. We are in constant need of masks. Disposable kid masks keep our students safe and protected. Bandaids for our first aid station would be a great addition as well. I also wanted to have water bottles for my kids. We have a water station where they can refill their bottles, but many of them forget to bring theirs and because of COVID, we don't have our classroom water fountain available.
I always tell my students that we are family.
We always talk about how our classroom is just like our second home. Having pencil grips would help my students who are still practicing how to hold their pencils and need extra assistance with improving their motor skills. The treasure box toys/fidgets would be used for our classroom treasure box and calm down corner. Having multiple fidgets and calm down/ sensory toys available would be helpful due to COVID. I only have a couple and am constantly disinfecting them throughout the day.
The colored masking tape would be used to label iPads and chargers in the charging stations; students need visuals and color. Batteries are needed to keep our classroom and remotes running. Pencils would be used for students’ birthdays and classroom incentives. The bell would be used for students to ring when they complete their work/homework/reach goals. Headphones/earbuds are needed for technology.
