My students need a "meeting" carpet for daily instruction and whole-group activities.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Kuester's classroom raised $657
This project is fully funded
My Students
Scholars in my classroom come from a wide spread of cultural and socioeconomic backgrounds. My students are "Kids at Hope". In other words, they work towards their envision of who they want to be, rather than what they want to be when they grow up. Building a strong classroom community, students in my classroom are expected to work collaboratively and actively.
At CHE, we believe that all scholars are capable of success, no exceptions!
Students are taught to be life-long learners, innovators, problem solvers, and critical thinkers.
My Project
The classroom meeting carpet will create an area for engaging, whole-group instruction. Whole group instruction will vary between content areas throughout the day, and students need a comfy, exciting spot to learn with their fellow classmates. Morning meetings, math instruction, reading and writing workshops, and mini-lessons will all take place at our newly funded carpet.
Classroom meetings and instruction at the carpet will engage students to hold class discussions, express opinions, respect group ideas, and actively listen to their peers.
Active, authentic listening skills will be learned by the third-graders at the meeting carpet. During discussions, students will learn how to agree, disagree, clarify and predict ideas, and demonstrate respect for others at all times.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
