My Project

As a first-year teacher, I am still learning the importance of classroom environment and targeting students' needs. Creating a space where students feel welcome is essential to their growth mindset and openness during rug conversations. My first-graders continue to struggle to learn to keep their hands to themselves. Currently, I don't have a classroom rug with designated spots for them to sit. Since I mostly do my lessons on the rug, having a classroom rug with spots will help students learn how to keep themselves inside their spaces.

Besides creating a comfortable learning space, I also feel it is necessary to have more supplies for subjects such as english, math, art, science, and social studies.

Other supplies will hopefully help my students to create more hands-on projects throughout the year.

I also hope to create centers with english and math flashcards and games throughout the year. I believe this will create a positive learning environment that all students will enjoy. Mahalo for your support!
