Classroom Comfort

My students need tables, benches, comfy pillows, balance balls, stacking stools, a rug, and wobble cushions as they say the classrooms these days do not look like the classrooms that I'm sure you and I know.

Celebrate Black Teachers and Students

This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.

My Students

My students are absolute joys to be around every single day. Our school is a Leader in Me school so our students know that they are leaders and take action to achieve their goals.

My students are self-disciplined and I never have a problem with their behavior because they know they are leaders and live by the seven habits of an effective person.

Our county's schools are moving towards fully implementing personalized learning and one way that I want to provide for my students' needs is by allowing them to have alternative seating. They are so well behaved and stay at their desk when told but they love it when I allow them to choose where they can focus in the room. I want to collect a variety of different furniture items so that my students have this option so they can take ownership of their work because they have their voice in it.

My Project

My main goal as a teacher is to make my classroom feel like a safe haven for my students. This is why we need more seating options such as a dining table with two benches, giant comfy pillows, a coffee table, balance balls, stacking stool, a rug, wobble cushions, and dry erase boards. 

A place where they can come and not fear and also not be scared to be wrong.

They are encouraged to speak out and stand up for what they believe in. In order to suit their needs, they need more reasonable space to work in my classroom. The desks and chairs that we have are just not the best for the students. They wobble and are different heights, while also confine them to such a small space. Please help me provide a safe haven and fun learning environment for my students!
