My Students

"Play is often talked about as if it were a relief from serious learning. But for children, play IS serious learning", - the fabulous Mr. Rogers.

I wish I could capture the faces of my children when they hear what they get to do in STEAM each day!

It is Christmas for them every time they have STEAM. (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math) The pure joy and excitement that I see in their faces is priceless.

By working on hands-on STEAM projects, my students step into a world of imagining, collaboration, and thoughtful thinking. They are able to discuss with their peers and try and fail and try and succeed with new ideas.

In a world where the last two years have been isolated due to COVID-19, my students are finally able to learn how to work as a team. They are able to feel the joy of success and also the joy of failure. They love the numerous chances they get to keep trying!

My Project

These Code & Go robots will help my students learn simple coding. It will help develop their critical thinking, sequencing and problem solving skills. They will have to learn to share and collaborate as a team. I want my students to be able to talk with one another and see that there are many ways to do something. I want them to be able to respect other opinions.

These robots will also help make our classroom a fun place to learn.

My students make it very easy to make our classroom a safe and loving place.
