Help me give my students a classroom climate that is caring, supportive, engaging, and safe. Fluorescent light covers will help my students who struggle with bright lights, making it easier for them to learn.
I love each of my students, and I love to see them excited about education. Every year I try to do something special for them by adding to our calm down corner, decorations, manipulatives, etc. This year I want to provide them with more comfort throughout their day.
Providing light covers will help my students by reducing the amount of fluorescent light they are exposed to and will keep the environment soothing.
I have various disabilities inside of my classroom, and this year I have some challenging situations that this project will help reduce. Providing a weighted lap pad should help my students who struggle with anxiety, autism, other health impairment, and ED. The weighted animal will also provide comfort on a day where a behavior may need a hug from an animal.
The sensory touch lights will help non-verbal students to communicate which will create a positive environment for them. The fiber optic lights will be added to our calm down corner which will help students self soothe when they need a small break.
My classroom is unique, but I wouldn’t want to be anywhere else. I learn as much as my students do daily. I would be lost without my students, and being a part of their education means the world to me.
