Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Students
My 4th graders are in an ICT (Integrated Co-Teaching) class located in the Bronx, NY. ICT is a setting in which general education and special education students learn together in the same environment. As a teacher in an inner-city school, my students are faced with many challenges both inside and outside of school. My goal as an educator is to provide my students with a safe, comforting and enjoyable environment when they enter my classroom. I love to help prepare my young fourth graders for success in their years to come.
My Project
The use of technology in classrooms today has a huge impact on student learning. Many of my students do not have access to technology at home which is why I would love to bring more of it into our classroom.
During math centers, my students are noticeably more engaged in their work and less disruptive of their peers when they are given individualized math instruction through the use of technology.
Having Chromebooks will allow me to have activities for both my advanced learners and my struggling learners.
This project will impact how my students learn as well as their engagement each and every day!
