This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
About My Students
Arely and Jaylene are energetic young ladies that are working hard to improve her Reading, Writing and Math skills. Since the arrival of our last funded Chromebook, it not only ignited both of these eighth graders enthusiasm, but also all of their classmates excitement of using various on-line tools that are available on Chromebooks.
Both of these students are eager, energetic, and creative eighth graders. They are two true leaders in our classroom that inspired this specific project. You will hear their thoughts and ideas throughout this proposal.
Our district has access to various Google applications. Some students are Google and technology savvy, where others are still trying develop these skills.
Our Chromebook proposals are uniting the students as a class. They are taking responsibility in the care of these Chromebooks, as well as utilizing these Chromebooks to access various on-line tools and resources.
These on-line tools support students with their Reading, Writing and Math skills. Most importantly, the students are further developing their technology skills and supporting each other with developing these technology skills too. It is try that it takes a village and we thank you in advance for reading this proposal.
In Their Own Words
The goal that we are trying to accomplish is to have enough Chromebooks in our classroom, to allow students to use on-line resources to help us with our Reading, Writing and Math skills. We are also trying to get enough Chromebooks, so all students can have a chance to access applications like Google Classroom.
We will make the most of this leadership opportunity by taking care of these Chromebooks. Our teacher tells us that it is very important to know how to use technology to be successful in almost every career. It is also important for us to make sure that we have access to this technology to make sure we are able to use it in high school and eventually college. This project will not only support us, the current eighth graders, but also the soon to be eighth graders at our school.
This project will solve our classmates from having to take turns every other day to use a Chromebook. If we have a few more Chromebooks, we will be able to almost let evryone get on a Chromebook everyday. It is challenging to complete lessons when we are not guaranteed a Chromebook everyday.
