My Students
Our school is a diverse community with students who come from different backgrounds. We are also a Title I school in Brooklyn with a large ELL population with over 1,300 students. In my second grade ICT classroom, about half of my students are ELL students, which consist of mostly Bengali, Spanish, and Arabic speakers. I also have students with special needs, speech impairment, and learning disabilities.
Each of my students brings something different to our classroom.
We work as a team! We learn from one another and help each other grow socially, emotionally, and academically.
My Project
This year our school transitioned into blended learning. Unfortunately managing and balancing both in-person and remote learning has been a struggle for us. But with the support of technology in our classroom, we can close the learning gaps and have students connect and learn.
Our classroom is in need of chromebooks especially for this year!
Having the devices in our classroom will support students in learning new programs that we use remotely. They will also use chromebooks for researching information for their projects or simply for finding answers to their own questions. Additionally during the school day, some students who are given speech, ENL, and counseling services remotely will be able to access them with the chromebooks in the classroom. Please support our project and help us get connected!
