My Project

Since the COVID-19 pandemic, many schools have experienced a sudden rush into the digital age of education. Every student in our school is provided a Chromebook and charger at the beginning of each academic year. Students are expected to use these multiple times throughout the day in and outside of the classroom.

One of the biggest issues I have run into, as a teacher, is students not having access to a charged Chromebook.

Whether they leave the charger at home or have lost it, almost every day, instructional time is lost due to this issue. The school has resources to help students, whether it be a charging station or a loaner Chromebook; however, this takes up a ton of instructional time and sets students behind in the classroom.

I would like to start a Chromebook charging station in my classroom. This way, students can stay in class and not have to worry about being incapable of completing work.

A class charging station and chargers are out of my price range and would take up a large portion of my budget, so I would greatly appreciate any help I can get. Thank you in advance for supporting my students and their education.
