Welcome to our school with all of our amazing students! We are an inner-city school with over 540 PreK-6 grade students, all who receive free breakfast and lunch. Students keep thanking me for the new resources and supplies, and I tell them it couldn’t happen without your support!
Being a STEAM school, it is essential that I explore and introduce hands-on, STEAM activities so that my students are exposed to new science, technology, engineering, arts, and math curriculum.
I have been lucky enough to be teaching at the same school for 24 years and am grateful each and every day for my students.
My Project
My students and I need a new rug for my classroom. My current rug was damaged by water leaks in the last two months. It has stains all over it, is dirty and no longer appealing or comfortable. We tried to shampoo it but nothing has worked.
We need a new, comfortable rug that isn't stained and four stability cushion seats for students to sit on.
I teach all 500 students in our school each week, and each student sits on the rug for the beginning lesson and instruction. A new rug will make such a huge difference, and you will be helping all of our students have a space to sit each class period. We are grateful for any donation that you can give toward a new rug.
I currently have one stability cushion for students to sit on; I would love to have four more so more students could benefit from the positive results. The special cushions are great because they help students focus on their assignments, and they give them the opportunity to move while sitting as well as building core muscles.
