Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My students have a variety of different ways they learn. Many learn best in an organized environment, while others focus better if they are seated on the ground or on a stool. Visual reminders on the wall help them remember key clue words when solving problems.
These items will meet a variety of needs for years to come.
Different activities, like the reading comprehension games, and ways to practice, like the number line whiteboards, will help them better retain skills as they learn them. The math posters will assist them in recognizing key words in the math problems we work on all year.
The folders and other organizational items will help them keep their work organized as well as help me keep learning materials ready and available easily. The round cushions will provide them with more seating options and allow them to work comfortably as groups on the floor as well as at tables. The fidget toys make great rewards and incentives, and allow students to move and fidget without distracting anyone.
