Help me give my students a calming center to go to when they need a break! The sensory table will be perfect to store calming toys and fidgets like putty, sensory tubes and a weighted stuffed animal.
This center will be a great place for students to visit when they are feeling overwhelmed and like they need a break from the classroom activities! They will have an assortment of calming tubes, sensory toys, fidgets, putty and a special weighted stuffed animal for comfort. All items will be inside a small sensory table with cushions for students to sit on when they visit the center. This small space is designed to help students explore and identify emotions, use strategies to calm down and re-join the classroom activities when they are ready! The hope is to provide a safe space for students to go to in order to help them learn to regulate big feelings.
