My Project
I am a Resource Math 7 and Resource Math 8 teacher. My students need calculators to access the curriculum in math. This will help bridge the gap in their special needs to aid in math calculation skills as they access the general education curriculum to keep up with their peers. I will need a classroom set of 24. I have been borrowing a few calculators from each classroom, and I'm always short a few calculators during tests, so this contribution will help me make sure everyone has one to work with. I've had to stagger testing and have them work with partners, but it would help my teaching if every student had one to work with.
My goal is to give students the tools they need to succeed!
My students are a joy to teach. They are in Special Education and struggle with learning disabilities which makes calculators an essential tool that they need to succeed. They are so humble and thankful for all they receive and are diligent and hard-working. Calculators will be necessary for years to come.
