My Students
My learners are passionate and eager to learn about the world around them through personalized learning. Our classroom is designed to meet the needs of all learners through differentiated small group instruction, learning from others, technology-driven, learner choice, goal setting, and assessment.
My learners are independent, who know how to self-advocate for their learning.
We strive to meet the needs of all children so that they can become responsible, productive citizens. We are located on the northwest side of our city in Wisconsin. Go Bulldogs!
We work together to create and accomplish short and long-term learning goals throughout the school year. I can't express how much I love working with my students. They are simply wonderful individuals.
My Project
This project is intended to provide a whole classroom novel study using the book called Orphan Island. This will be a great opportunity to work with literature through use of a full length book.
Novel Studies provides an opportunity to read a full length book then a short story.
I remember when I was student, how much I enjoyed reading an actual book then a short story from a basal reader. I would come home and talk to my parents about what I read. I hope to do the same with my learners.
Reading becomes far more engaging when lengthy discussions happen throughout the reading journey. It's the driving force to read more!
