My Project

Explicit direct instruction and checking for understanding is a key component in my 1st grade classroom. By using whiteboards to quickly assess who is understanding and seeing who needs the curriculum reinforced is a major part of our daily work. We are constantly running out of dry erase markers and with your help we will be well stocked for a while.

Personal writing journals are always a big hit in our class.

The students love putting their practice to work by showing what they know by writing on their own.

They also love to choose their own reading materials and being able to store their books in bins will help with the organization in our classroom.
