This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am a Special Education Resource Teacher, working with students with learning disabilities. Many of my students struggle with foundational reading and math skills. Opportunities to practice individualized lessons greatly benefit their retention and help students learn new skills.

Laminating resources protects them while allowing students to write on them, making the resources durable and reusable.

Having a variety of resources for mastery of skills allows multimodal instruction and enhanced learning.

Many students with learning disabilities struggle with attention as well. The wobble stool will provide movement, helping the student focus more on the lesson and remain seated for longer periods of time.
