My Students

I get to teach amazing 2nd graders. They have been pros at wearing masks and learning to be flexible. They have worked hard and rolled with the punches, but this has left some deficits that we are still needing to fill during this ongoing pandemic.

My Project

Our class is running low on basic supplies that are needed to run the classroom smoothly such as pencils, pencil sharpeners, dry erase markers, headphones etc. We also need a mobile whiteboard to facilitate instruction. There are also games that will be used for relationship building and indoor recess. Having a fully stocked supply closet goes a long way in ensuring we are able to make learning happen. Working with whiteboards and not having enough student whiteboard markers inhibits the lessons progress. Knowing there are markers and pencils in the shelf ready for use when needed is a huge stress reliver.
