This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Students
I am privileged to teach fifty outstanding students. My students are very inquisitive, creative, and extremely clever. We are a Title 1 school where over 60% of the population receives free or reduce lunch. Even though some of my students we affected by Hurricane Harvey and lost everything, they are still excited and enthused about learning.
Our school is very culturally diverse, we are extremely competitive and we strive for excellence daily.
Willing, ready and always trying to stand out above the rest, we need to produce competitive scholars for the future. We are shining stars and would love to shine with or above the rest.
My Project
My students need a classroom that is inviting, organized and fun. Believe it or not students like structure and organization. Students follow by rules, norms, procedures and expectations.
By providing funding for this project our classroom will have some basic needed materials and get our classroom organized.
My students need to know where to get materials and returned materials to follow classroom expectations. The IRIS drawer storage and organizer will do just that. The LED light box and the color paper will allow for some fun, creative activities as well. With all these items my classroom can be so much more inviting. An organized classroom is my goal.
