This project is part of the Black History Month celebration because it supports a Black teacher or a school where the majority of the students are Black.
My Project
I am a special education teacher in an special classroom. A major component of our classroom goals are to develop writing, reading and math problem-solving skills, as well as social skills.
All of my students receive free breakfast and lunch.
They are eager to learn and love hands-on, engaging, learning experiences. My students require various materials and support to encourage them to follow the classroom expectations, stay focused, help others, and participate.
The chair bands will help my students be able to fidget in their seats. Snacks will be used for a short brain breaks to give an extra boost of energy. The dry erase markers and sheet protectors will be used as an engaging way for students to work. Papers will be put in sheet protectors and they can use the markers to do their work. These supports will help students be successful in our classroom!
