This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

As a 2nd-grade teacher at a dual language campus, I’m dedicated to fostering a love of learning in both English and Spanish. My classroom is filled with energetic, eager learners who are developing strong language skills and a deep curiosity for the world around them. However, to truly thrive, they need the right tools.

I’m requesting essential classroom basics like highlighters, mechanical pencils, glue sticks, and erasers to support my students in both their writing and hands-on projects.

These tools will help them stay organized, focused, and engaged during lessons. The electric pencil sharpener will ensure that they always have sharp pencils, while the hot glue gun and glue sticks will bring their creative ideas to life. The Pilot FriXion pens will encourage confident writing and revision, and the Post-it notes will help them organize and retain information effectively.

My goal is to provide my students with the materials they need to succeed without distractions. These items will allow them to fully participate in class, whether they are learning new vocabulary in English or Spanish or working on a group project. What makes my students special is their hard work, resilience, and the bilingual skills they are developing every day. Your donation will make a meaningful difference in their educational journey.
