This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I am requesting classroom basics that will help my students and me start the year off on the right foot. I have found students are highly engaged and motivated by dry-erase boards. Students use these to share their thinking during math time and when we do dictation. I need to replace many of our dry-erase boards that have been damaged over time. I am also requesting 2 pocket folders with prongs which will be used for homework, picture dictionaries, and other items that need protection. The students will use the folders without prongs to store daily classwork, unfinished work, or writing assignments. I will use the putty to put anchor charts around the classroom. The pouches will help students store their classroom basics like pencils, erasers, crayons and other materials. Multicultural crayons will help students feel represented in drawings. The blue and green dots will help students identify the language in which our library books are coded in our dual language classroom.
