My Students
My students come from a low-income population with all different special needs. Each student has different wants and needs. They struggle with communication and socialization skills. My students have all different kinds of disabilities, and they each need different things to achieve their daily goals.
My students have strong and vibrant personalities, and even though they may have special needs, they want to be like their friends.
Each one of their personalities can brighten your day. They do not let their needs and wants get in the way of their smiles.
My Project
My students are running low or do not have supplies to do art and projects in the classroom. The students are small and we use art supplies on a daily basis. The classroom is in high need of paint, paper, laminating sheets, glue, crayons and markers.
At the young age it is important to incorporate art in every activity.
Students are able to express themselves. Students love to make small projects to go along with their lessons. This also helps with reducing negative behavior in class. Students need time to unwind if they are upset. When they are calming down they may paint or draw.
More than half of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
