Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Students

My students are curious, motivated and thoughtful learners! The majority are ENLs and special need students from low-income families who come into our classrooms every day with the eagerness of becoming feature leaders, scientists, artists, etc.

My students are big dreamers and believe that they can make a difference and achieve their goals if the support and the opportunity are given to them.

They love to read, write and draw, do math, and do hands-on and movement activities!

The majority of my students are English language learners and students with disabilities, who require exposures to the best educational experiences; therefore, hands-on and realia are a must in my classroom. Many of my students struggle to understand and grasp concepts and they need to be exposed to visual and concrete samples for them to get it.

Each student in my classroom is unique and it is my responsibility as their teacher to find the best and most effective way to help them achieve their potential. Every donation makes a difference in my students' lives. I look forward to creating projects that will make our classroom a joyful learning environment.

My Project

Distance Learning has provided many barriers that we as teachers have had to learn to navigate during this difficult and unprecedented time.

In the physical classroom, it is easy for students to interact between them and get my direct feedback in real time since my they are there with me, and I can check in on them constantly.

In virtual learning, this is a difficult task. A yearly subscription to CLASSKICK and TPT gift cards will help me alleviate this problem.

CLASSKICK is a digital resource that will allow me to monitor my virtual and in-person students' work in real-time. It will help me teach them, help them, and encourage them to keep going!

CLASSKICK allows students to learn the material in a new way with more teacher support. With the acquisition of this resource, I will be able to create and present interactive lessons and we (My students & I) will we able to use audio, video, stickers, text, and so much more to interact and provide instant feedback. Students with different needs and learning styles will be able to complete and present their work using different modes that Classkick offers. For example, instead of writing, they can record themselves to complete the assignment. This will help to increase students participation levels and make them feel accountable for their learning. It will also help me keep track of what they are learning and how I can better support them.

Also, the teachers pay teachers gift cards will help me obtain digital resources like interactive games and activities to continue bettering my lessons and engaging all learners (Virtual & in-person).
