My Project

My students are bright, curious learners, many of whom face challenges with traditional reading due to learning disabilities. For them, reading can sometimes feel overwhelming. That’s why I’m asking for your help to bring high-quality graphic novels into our classroom.

These aren’t just comic books—they’re rich, engaging stories with layered themes and meaningful messages, often adapted from classic literature.

With powerful visuals and accessible text, graphic novels help my students build confidence, improve comprehension, and connect with stories they might otherwise struggle to access.

The illustrations support understanding, while the content challenges them to think critically and dive deeper into characters, themes, and big ideas. With your support, we can build a diverse library of graphic novels across genres, including mystery, history, fantasy, and literary classics, that meet students where they are and help them grow as readers.
