Help me give my students alternatives for the classic egg drop experiment in physics class. They will be able to experiment with forces and motion as well as an iterative engineering task.
FULLY FUNDED! Ms. Laska's classroom raised $179

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
Every year students enjoy the egg drop challenge, but how will we do it with few or no eggs?
This experiment allows students to collaboratively explore momentum, collisions, impulse, force and time in the physics classroom.
Students design a container that can drop from a height without damaging an egg (or in this case, opening a reusable water balloon). Engineering skills are also practiced as there will be opportunities to revise their devices and try again.
With over 200 physics students a week, many students will be able to benefit from the use of this resource.
Nearly all students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
