Class Set Of High-Interest Graphic Novels To Support EL Students
Help me give my students a set of accessible and high interest graphic novels to support the reading of English learner students.
FULLY FUNDED! Mr. Roman's classroom raised $563
This project is fully funded
Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month
This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because
it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
First of all, thank you so much for looking into supporting this project!
I hope to support my students in accessing and enjoying reading with a high-interest graphic novel for comic lovers!
I am a teacher at a majority-low income school in Chicago. My school serves 98% students of color with a high population of non-native English speakers, migrants, students with IEPs, and English learners. My students are incredible and highly engaged in learning.
I hope to provide a class set for 85 students (the largest of which has 32 students in a class) to help them engage with social issues and encourage reading!
More than three‑quarters of students from low‑income households
Data about students' economic need comes from the National Center for Education Statistics, via our partners at MDR Education. Learn more
