My Students

My students need your assistance! My school serves a high poverty population. Some of my students have limited access to technology. In other words, if it is not provided by the school, children will not have the opportunity to engage in computers.

My students enjoy using interactive science computer programs.

However, our school computer lab has limited working headphones. This restricts the use of interactive videos and requires students to watch videos using closed captions.

My students would be very grateful if they were able to come to class and have working head phones!

My Project

In our school computer lab, we have very few working sets of headphones for the available computers.

In a technological world, it is imperative that students have all the technical resources and know-how to complete tasks.

The computer programs students use add an extra level of understanding of the science topics and concepts taught in class.

Many science programs require the student to watch a video and take notes or respond in writing. Additionally, we use the computers for research projects.

Having a class set of headphones will enhance my students' learning experiences and cancel out distracting noises in the classroom.

By receiving these headphones, this will allow my students to have the opportunity to expand their learning.

Students will be able to listen to the computer program they are using and they will be able to complete the programs efficiently.
