Class Set of Calculators for Physics

My students need calculators in order to complete physics problems. Some of my students are not able to buy their own calculator and will borrow one of mine in class.

My Students

My students are polite, kind and studious individuals hungry for knowledge and professional skills. They are highly motivated and treat their teachers and others with respect. Many of my students commute about an hour to attend school each day from low-income neighborhoods around the city.

My students are curious, active and determined individuals eager to learn and succeed in college and beyond.

Many of them come from immigrant families with a strong emphasis on education. As such, a large motivating factor for their studies is a scholarship to a four-year college. They are excited to use science to develop themselves, the field and others in need.

My Project

At the beginning of every year, I request that all of my students purchase their own calculator for use at home and in class. Some of my students are not able to purchase their own right away. Currently, I have a hodgepodge set of calculators that have the occasional broken screen.

The calculators will enable my students to still complete work even if they don't have the necessary resources on hand.

Additionally, the same set of calculators will be helpful when teaching students how to use the various functions on their calculators. The yellow case will make it easy to distinguish between my class set and someone's personal calculator.
