My Project

This year I teach a sewing class as an elective for our middle schoolers. The pencils, fabric, and supplies I am asking for would equip us with the basic materials to begin hands-on learning.

In our sewing class, I would like to teach my students the fundamentals of sewing.

They will learn to stitch, evenly cut fabric, use patterns, and more. For black history month I would like to highlight the significance of kente cloth and quilt making. The books would provide learning and history for them and the fabric would allow them to make a meaningful class quilt.
