Class of 2023 Senior Sendoff Part 2

Help me give my students Class of 2023 clothing and other items for our end-of-the-year senior celebration and senior prom.

Celebrating Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

Our school is located in the poorest congressional district in the nation, and all students are eligible for free or reduced-price lunch. The school is predominately Latino and African American. Thirty percent of the students are English language learners, and some are the first of their families to graduate. Despite all of this, 100% of our graduating seniors are college or career bound.

Our students should have the same opportunities as any other student in the country.

They work hard to succeed without letting anything get in their way. As a community school, each year our graduation rate has increased, and we want to make their learning as meaningful and purposeful as possible.

Last school year's senior celebration, or sendoff, was an absolute thrill for the students. They got to celebrate with one another and use that day for your book signings as well. I want to duplicate what we did last year and that's why I'm getting a jumpstart on the supplies now. We need graduation letterhead, banners, certificates, and more! Plus decorations for a senior prom night theme, evening at the casino.

These items will go towards decorating the graduation hall as well as the senior prom hall.
