My Students

My students are bright, wonderful 7th and 8th grade children in Hawaii. We have a mixture of all kinds of backgrounds, ethnicities, and languages spoken amongst our students. The diversity makes them so very well rounded and compassionate for their peers.

My students are encouraging of each other.

They love to help each other learn. They embrace their own identities, as well as the cultures and identities of others, and never stop to judge each other.

My students are very driven to acquire a new language and put their skills to the test. Help me do just that by providing their very first foreign language novel of the school year.

My Project

This novel is great for early language learners. It provides many repititions of key vocabulary that they need to build their language skills. Studies also show that increased reading helps students have a better overall grasp of the language. They will absorb words, grammar, and sentence structure without even realizing it.

By reading this, my students will realize just how much they really can do, and be challenged to learn and grow even more!

It is just the right mixture of doable and challenging, all while still being engaging to the student.
