My Students
We have the rewarding job of teaching approximately 85 unique and eager students this year in the 5th Grade at Davis Elementary. All of our students come to us with their own stories, experiences and vivacious personalities. We hope to take their interests, love of learning, and many wonderful texts to get them hooked on reading! We want every student to pick up a book and feel the anticipation and excitement of what lies on those pages.
Being as all students do not have access to books at home, we want to build expansive libraries that will allow them to explore the world around us through words!
My Project
We are the 5th grade team in Austin, Texas. With a classroom full of students eager to learn, it is our goal to help them foster a love of reading, math, science and social studies. With such a large group of diverse learners, each with their own areas of interest, our hope is to expose them to the world of literature, mathematics and science through rich works of literature. In order to do that, We need your help! With your donations we can buy books for our three classroom libraries. Our students will have access to these books during the day, and will be able to take these books home to enjoy!
