it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.
My Project
My project will help supply essential items my students use consistently in my math class.
The dry erase markers are used very often in class, from working out problems to complete Delta Math assignments, to working out problems for their online tests.
Dry erase markers dry out easily, which requires changing them at least once or twice a year.
The tape is one of the most necessary items. My students tape their notes pages and some other assignments in their journal. This helps keep their journals organized and their notes accessible for studying.
My class is very individualized and self-paced. Some students work ahead, while others need more time catching up. I use the colored paper to distinguish assignments from different lessons, which allows me to know who is working on what. White paper is always necessary since our school-provided supply is limited.
I also asked for laminating sheets to protect the resources I post for my students to reference on my word walls. Word walls and anchor charts are a district expectation. I try to conserve everything I create for my kiddos.
Lastly, the other items on my list will support the overall success in class. Kleenex for those stuffy days and ongoing allergies and snacks for when kiddos need an extra energy push.
