My Project
This coming year, I will be bringing AP African American Studies to my school for the first time. Help me bring class copies of the foundational texts we will use to anchor our learning this year. These texts bring in diverse voices, themes, and historical periods, while centering Black feminism. Students will experience the format of a college class; we will read collaboratively in class, independently outside of class, and discuss texts deeply together. Students will draw on and synthesize multiple perspectives to analyze the most important questions and issues in Black Studies. Thank you for your generosity in preparing my students for college and the world.
