My Students

They all gasp! That's what happens when a new piece of technology is introduced to a group of students at my school. I am constantly amazed by what they can do when they are given the tools for it.

They are eager to learn, make mistakes, and try again.

They love to be challenged and know that they have some control over the end product. They feel empowered when they are encouraged to do more than they have ever done before.

My Project

How many times has a teacher shown something to the class and said, "Everyone, let's look at this." only to hear someone say, "I can't!"

Document cameras are amazing tools to help eliminate this problem.

Document cameras hook up to the teacher's projector and magnify items that sit underneath the camera to sizes that are much more easily seen by students who are far away.

Teachers can place any number of things under the camera to project up on the screen. Also, teachers don't have web cams on their laptops. The document cameras work through the camera app on the laptop and the teachers can now use this to record videos of math problems, or step-by-step directions to a number of things, and take pictures for various needs in the classroom.
