We work with creative, unique, wonderful students each and every day. They are hard-working and caring kids who are working toward seeing the value in all individuals. Working with them and their families is our pleasure and joy.

They are looking for ways to become better students and better people. Each day they enter the classroom with an excitement and energy about what they will learn. They are curious, inquisitive, intelligent kids who are growing every day.
My Project
Every day a picture book is read aloud in our classroom. I pick books that are relevant to my students needs and desires. I have many books to choose from in my classroom library already, but we need updated and diverse books.
When students see books they can relate to, they get excited!
Reading a short book every day helps build classroom community and I try to pick books that students can relate to. For example, if we are having issues with getting along, I can pull a book out that addresses this issue. The books that I’ve chosen for this project are based around mindfulness, empathy, and friendship. Putting these books in my classroom will give me more resources to choose from.
