Celebrate Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month

This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

We are working on two new history units and need somewhere supplemental reading stories. These books will aid in my students leading research projects on civil rights leaders and the history of aviation. When looking at both units they were lacking stories on people that reflected my classroom.

These books will give my students historical figures that better represent my classroom and community.

These projects will help my class get comfortable with the research process and them being excited about what they are researching is important. By seeing more people who look like them changing the world and excelling in aviation they will be more engaged in the project.
