As a fifth-grade teacher in a multicultural school, our gifted and talented classroom serves students who identify with the top 10% at their school. My goal is to prepare my students for academic success in today's tech world. We are in need of tablets to implement in our daily use in all our subjects throughout the day. Our school's budget has decreased and the need for technology is great. Many of us take technology for granted since it is so accessible in our lives. That is not the case for our NYC students.
Furthermore, my class will need technology to complete the 2022-2023 Project Citizen curriculum.
The program provides a first-hand approach to learning about our complex system of government and how their voice can make a difference!
