My Project
Learning anything in science class, the most meaningful way is to allow students to get their hands on the actual building materials! I teach 7th and 8th graders, and our topics range from atoms to circuits and electromagnets.
Your donation will provide 27 sets of Soldering DIY Kits my students can use to actually solder by themselves!
This will be a new challenge for myself and my students, but anytime I give them a new skill or difficult task, they rise to the occasion, and I am the one that learns from their perseverance. I've made it my mission for this year to put a circuit in each student's hand and allow them to produce a working electrical product that they can take home! This DonorsChoose project request is one necessary part of that!
My students will learn about electronic components, general electricity, reading blueprints, attention to detail, patience, and sequential thinking and planning.
Our high school has a world-class mechatronics program, so it is my goal that any student interested in that path can get a head start and a host of new skills through my classroom.
