This project is a part of the Hispanic & Latinx Heritage Month celebration because it supports a Latino teacher or a school where the majority of students are Latino.

My Project

I teach in a Title I, inner city bilingual school, many of my students have been in our school for several years. All of my students get free and reduce breakfast and lunch, they come from different social, economic and cultural backgrounds and look out for each other.

As a math teacher, my goal is to get my students excited about learning!

This year we are being introduced to Circumference and Pi. Our end of the year project is to write our own version of these beloved math tales! I am hoping to show our students, what learning can look like outside of the traditional format with games.

In addition I want to highlight my students creativity with this project and showcase their amazing talents and show them that math really is all around us!
